Our BlueHealth Mobile Team began seeing scheduled patients on March 27, 2023, in Ruleville, Mississippi. Since then, BlueHealth Mobile increased wellness throughout the Mississippi Delta and ensured Members received consistent medical care, wellness visits and specialty referrals. Our Team works endlessly to dedicate time and effort into the people of the Delta region of our state!

“BlueHealth Mobile is a disruptive innovator,” Dr. Lee Greer, Corporate Medical Director said. “The Mississippi Delta has struggled with poor health status and clinical outcomes for decades. BlueHealth Mobile is committed to being a change agent. Our clinical care model is demonstrating that lives can be changed and health journeys altered by providing convenient healthcare that partners with the patient in shaping a better tomorrow for them. We have learned a lot in the first year, but the work is only beginning.”

BlueHealth Mobile in 2025

In 2025, a new test was introduced as part of the BlueHealth Mobile wellness visit for those patients eligible to receive a colonoscopy. The Hemoccult Stool Test was introduced as an alternative screening to help identify blood in the stool. With this new form of stool testing, Blue Health Mobile Staff is looking to decrease the number of patients who are eligible for a colonoscopy, in hopes to catch any colon issue early. The Hemoccult Stool test is required to be taken every year if a patient opts out of the colonoscopy route.

There are still many employees from the existing Groups who have not engaged over the past two years with a Provider for their annual Healthy You! visit. Moving forward, the BlueHealth Mobile Team is focused on increasing its patient population with all existing Groups, as well as continuing to manage and improve patient risks, while also focusing on closing gaps in care for those eligible for a colonoscopy or mammogram.
