The Get Ready to Run School Program introduces students to the benefits of running, physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices in a fun and rewarding way! Our goal is to assist K-5th graders in building endurance, setting goals, accomplishing long-term fitness goals and enhancing their self-esteem.
Benefits of Get Ready to Run
Participating schools will receive the Get Ready to Run Lessons and Activities Guide at no cost.
Students will be eligible to participate in the Get Ready to Run Kids’ One-Mile Fun Run at no cost.
Students can help win $5,000 for their school’s P.E. program.
Schools that submit the Student Participation Check-in form at Program end will receive a special incentive for their registered runners prior to the Fun Run.
Each runner who crosses the finish line at the Fun Run will receive a finisher’s medal.
